INV Membership is for InventorsInnovators

The INV Title represents a groundbreaking initiative to formally recognize and honour accomplished inventors and innovators. Just as doctors and Ph.D. holders use 'Dr.' as their professional title, and engineers in many countries use 'Eng.,' the INV title distinguishes qualified and competent inventors within the innovation community.

INV Title: Recognition for Inventors

The "Inv" title is a distinguished recognition conferred by the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA) to inventors who meet specific criteria. This title acknowledges the contributions of inventors and innovators, placing them in a unique category akin to the way academic and professional titles like "Dr" or "Eng" are used.

About INV Membership

INV members constitute an elite group of inventors who have earned the prestigious INV title through demonstrated excellence in innovation. This recognition system has been established to address a critical gap in professional recognition for inventors who contribute significantly to the knowledge economy and enhance the public repository of technological advancement.

History of INV Title

The INV title initiative was launched by IFIA to institutionalize the recognition of inventors.

The first INV title was awarded to a Nobel Prize winner in 1977.

A significant milestone was achieved on September 11, 2017, during IFIA's executive meeting in Visakhapatnam, India, which officially approved the project.
